Gabriele Mirabassi
Gabriele Mirabassi is an Italian jazz clarinetist. In 1967 he was born in Perugia and is a graduate of the Morlacchi conservatory in that city.[1] Mirabassi is active in contemporary music and is one of the founders of the Artisanat Furteux Ensemble.
He formed his own jazz quartet in 1989. Mirabassi was member of the Rabih Abou-Khalil group, has played at the major Italian jazz festivals and has toured internationally. He was the winner of the Top Jazz award for new talent in 1996. "Canto di Ebano" is considered his best album so far. Gabriele Mirabassi also develop a important research about Brazilian music, specially the choro, with regular visits to Brazil.
